New TaylorMade SIM range

The new SIM drivers have taken everything good from TaylorMade’s previous models and put it all into the new SIM range.

The equation is pretty simple, previously you could have more length and less forgiveness or more forgiveness and less length. This was mainly achieved by moving the centre of Gravity (CoG) either forward or back. The old SLDR driver was great but with the CoG forward it was less forgiving, the M5 and M6 were more forgiving especially with the ‘Twist Face Technology’ and as long as anything on the market last year.

Are you due a service?

As we build up to the beginning of the 2020 golfing season, now is the time to address your equipment and whether it needs some TLC. One of the most common occurrences I see with amateur golfers’ equipment is having worn out grips. There are many factors that can be affected by this including:

- Gripping the club too tightly, causing tension in your hands, wrists and arms

- Slick grips will lead to difficulty in maintaining clubface control

- In-consistent shot shapes

- Drop in confidence

So, if you are interested in upgrading your grips this winter, pop into the Pro Shop for more information or to drop your clubs off.
