Time to get excited

Whilst it's easy to think that the golf industry goes into hibernation during the winter months, it's actually one of the most exciting times of the year for us!

This week sees the PGA Show take place in Orlando, which is a huge four day conference where golf brands large and small showcase their new product for the year ahead.

There is some fantastic stuff coming and we've already started to take delivery of orders in the pro shop, so why not pop down and have a browse in the coming weeks?

January is always an exciting time in the golf industry with new products being launched left, right and centre. For us, there's one product that has us more excited than any other this year and it's Callaway's aptly-named Mavrik driver.

Layer up

Last week we talked about one of our favourite topics: rain! Whilst waterproof protection is key for staying dry when caught in a downpour, combining layers of clothing underneath is vital if you want to enjoy the warmth without being so restricted that you can’t complete your backswing.

What do we mean by layering?

Lots of golfers are still in the habit of putting on as many layers as they possibly can in the winter to combat the cold – a vest, turtleneck, polo, sweater and jacket – but today’s golf clothing could easily cut that down by half.

What do we suggest?

From polos that keep you at a cool temperature in the summer to quilted pieces that lock in warmth like PING's Breaker jacket above, having the right item of clothing can do the job of several poor layers. Pop by the shop to have a look at our clothing collections.
